How Do I Get a Construction NVQ?

An assessor will be sent to observe how you operate on a typical workday. They will assess your knowledge, performance, and experience. The main requirement is how safely and capably you can carry out the job.
How long does it take?
The assessor may conduct between 2-5 visits. The dates are tailored to your (and your work’s) convenience. Higher level NVQs usually involve more visits than a lower level NVQ. Overall, the process typically takes 10 weeks or less.
Does registration entitle me to any certification or status?
Yes. Once your registration fee is paid, you may apply for a Red (Trainee) or Red (Experienced Worker) CSCS card. Extra fees may apply.
